Reptile Youth - Fear (Official Video)

The always awesome, turbo-charged Copenhagen discopunk duo Reptile Youth shared new video for their infectiously catchy and oh-so-delicious track “Fear,” the final take-off from their self titled debut LP (out now via hfn music). Directed by Narvi Creative, the black and white video stars Icelandic model Kolfinna Kristófersdóttir. Watch it below.

Reptile Youth - My Yoko Ono

In case you missed it, Copenhagen-based duo Reptile Youth released a fantastic video for their latest single “My Yoko Ono” last month, but we never had the chance to post it since we were on our mini hiatus. Directed by Lucy McRae, the video is the work of 37 motion graphics students from the Hyper Island Stockholm campus. You can get Reptile Youth’s eponymous debut album now via HFN Music.

Reptile Youth - Dead End

Copenhagen-based duo Reptile Youth have recently unleashed their eponymous debut album via HFN Music and if we had to hand out early nominations for Best Albums of 2012, it would definitely make our top 10 list. You haven’t listened to it yet? No problem, we’ve embedded the album below for your listening pleasures. The band has also just released a new video this morning; “Dead End” was directed by Rei Nadal.

Reptile Youth - Black Swan Born White (remixes)

We’ve featured the awesome Danish duo that is Reptile Youth on the site many times, including a couple of posts about their most recent single “Black Swan Born White” and its remixed versions. They’ve since made videos for two of the more-than-amazing-can’t-stop-listening-it’s-seven-shades-of-awesome remixes by S.C.U.M. and Keep Shelly In Athens (on top of the video for the orignal version) and we couldn’t help but post both of them here for your viewing (and listening) pleasures.

This review was written by collaborator Natasha Garcia, a photographer from New York currently based in Stockholm and also a friend of Hot Shit. You can catch her reviews here every Thursday.

Reptile Youth - Black Swan Born White

A couple of weeks ago, we blogged about the “Black Swan Born White,” the new single from Danish discopunk duo Reptile Youth. Today, we bring you the video. It’s directed by David Richardson. The debut eponymous album should follow later this Summer.

Reptile Youth - Black Swan Born White

On June 4th, Danish discopunk duo Reptile Youth will be releasing their second single from their upcoming debut album, which is currently still untitled. The Black Swan Born White EP will include remixes from Terranova, S.C.U.M., Keep Shelly in Athens and Mark E, and will be availble via HFN Music.

Reptile Youth - Speeddance

Copenhagen-based duo Reptile Youth (that’s Mads Damsgaard Kristiansen on vocal duties and Esben Valløe on bass) has released its debut single “Speeddance,” out now via HFN Music (also home of Kasper Bjørke and Trentemøller). The track is killer and has been playing on loop all weekend long on our iPod. Possibly the best one we’ve heard in 2012 thus far, and in a perfect world, it would get as much love from the blogosphere as The Rapture’s “How Deep is Your Love” did. Accompanying the original track on the EP is a remake of the track by Norwegian band Deathcrush and a remix by Canadian two-piece My Favorite Robot (they’re all embedded below). The disco-punk duo will be releasing their yet-to-be-titled debut LP, produced by Dave M. Allen (The Cure, Sisters of Mercy) and Marc Ralph (Hot Chip), later this year.
