Passion Pit - Carried Away (Tiësto remix)

image

Passion Pit’s “Carried Away,” a track from their latest album Gossamer, gets the fromage treatment by trance producer Tiësto. Who cares, right? Indeed… except that the remix comes paired with a music video that makes it somewhat bearable. It was directed by Carlos Lopez Estrada, and it involves these hipsters ingesting some kind of powdered substance that magically gives them the ability to physically split apart. Makes zero sense, but it’s fun to watch. You can download the track here if you dig it, but it comes with the risk of your friends seeing you “like” Tiësto in their Facebook newsfeed.

Junkie XL - Gloria (feat. Datarock)

“Gloria” is the new single from Dutch producer Junkie XL and it features the vocals of Norwegian quintet Datarock. The EP, out now, includes remixes by Kurd Maverick, Flinch, Prince Club and another one by Junkie XL himself. The track is taken from his forthcoming album Synthesized which comes out November 7th via Excelsior Recordings. What’s even more exciting is that both Junkie XL and Datarock released their own videos for “Gloria.” Junkie XL’s was directed by John Christopher Pina produced by Clean Sweep, and Datarock’s was created by PistolShrimps and shot in their hometown Bergen in Norway. You can watch them both, in that order, below.

Skip&Die - Love Jihad

Their debut album Riots in the Jungle was written while traveling all over South Africa and showcases a a broad spectrum of sounds, ranging from tropical bass to electronica with elements of hip hop. It comes out on October 8th via Belgian label Crammed Discs and “Love Jihad” is the first single. Its video was directed by Romy Tielman and Catarina Aimée Dahms.

Nobody Beats the Drum - Natural Thing

Watch the latest video from Dutch electronic band Nobody Beats the Drum. The single, “Natural Thing,” is taken from their album Currents, which is available via Basserk Records. The track’s EP comes packed with remixes by The Subs, Rimer London and Fellow. All video credits go to Johan Rijpma.

David Douglas - California Poppy

Here’s the video for “California Poppy,” a track from Dutch producer David Douglas’ debut EP Royal Horticultural Society. “It’s electronic music for the mind,” as the artist states, and we couldn’t agree more. His EP is streamable in its entirety on his Soundcloud so you can listen to the whole thing below. On top of that, he’s made his single “California Poppy” available for free here. He’s also music video director, so he’s the mind behind the video you’ll be watching below.
