We’re getting closer to the released date of Vancouver-based band Gold & Youth’s debut album Beyond Wilderness and we personally have been having a hard time containing our excitement ever since seeing them open for Diamond Rings last December at La Sala Rossa. The album comes out on May 14th via Arts & Crafts and they’ve just shared a new track from it just a few days ago. Listen to “Jewel” below.

Gold & Youth - Time to Kill

Reputed record label Arts & Crafts is famous for its amazing pile of CanCon (Canadian Content) such as Broken Social Scene, Feist, Stars, and the list goes on. We think Gold & Youth will be the next ones to watch for. Their first single “Time to Kill” was mentioned on this site previously on the site, but now we wanted to bring you the video taken off their debut LP Beyond Wilderness, which is coming out soon (no determined date yet at the moment). Watch the video, directed by Natalie Rae Robison, for “Time to Kill” below.

Gold & Youth - Time to Kill

Arts & Crafts’s newest signing, Vancouver-based Gold & Youth (formerly known as The Racoons) debuts their single “Time To Kill” as the band readies itself for New York City showcases and performances at SXSW, CMW and The Great Escape. Their debut album, slated for this Spring/Summer, was produced by Colin Stewart (Black Mountain, New Pornographers, Dan Mangan) and mixed by Gareth Jones (Depeche Mode, Wire, Grizzly Bear, Interpol). If it’s anything like this single, we’re in for a treat.
