I Was a Teenage Satan Worshipper - Make Your Move

Helsinki’s electro-pop quartet I Was a Teenage Satan Worshipper has dropped the ridiculously sublime new video for “Make Your Move” taken from their sophomore album There which is out now via GAEA Records. Directed by Teemu Niukkanen the video depicts the story of the “Bassist”, the main protagonist played by IWATSW’s own Tuomo Parikka, who could not join the US Tour with the rest of the band because of his plans to “travel back to 1936 to kill Nazi Hitler.” Now that’s we call a bassist with a plan. If your Monday hasn’t been anywhere near awesome yet, it definitely has now. Enjoy.

Zebra and Snake - Empty Love Song

Zebra and Snake are a findietronic duo from Helsinki (see what we did there?) composed of best friends Matti Ahopelto & Tapio Viitasaari. Following the success of their debut EP Sweetest Treasure, they’ve now released their debut album titled Healing Music, out via 100% Records, and it is more or less full of pulsating melodies, invigorating synths and strong anthemic vocals that will make you fall madly in love with them. They’ve just released a stunning video for their first single titled “Empty Love Song.” It was directed by Joona Mantere and you can watch it below (or grab it for free via Soundcloud here.

Bonus: watch the video for “Money in Heaven,” the first single of the album, directed by Lilah Vandenburgh.

Cats On Fire - After the Fact

Finnish twee group Cats On Fire have just released the video for “After the Fact,” a song from their third proper LP All Blackshirts to Me, available via Matinée Recordings since earlier this year. The video was directed by Appu Jasu.

We’ve taken the liberty of embedding a few more tracks from the album, in case you hadn’t heard them yet, courtesy of the Matinée Recordings Soundcloud.

TV OFF - Religion

TV OFF is an electronic pop duo from Helsinki, Finland. They’ve been attracting attention of major labels, music blogs and music lovers such as ourselves since forming in 2010. It was about time we let you know about these guys. They released a free EP called What They Say towards the end of 2011 (you can still grab it here) and are hoping to release a full-length album later this year. We should expect a lot of heavy UK-bass music, house influences and even some indie pop from their debut. They’ve just released a new single titled “Religion” and you can watch its video, directed by Cocoa, below.

Phantom - Scars

We don’t know much about Phantom, aside from the fact that they are a newly formed electronic duo from Helsinki. They’ve an EP which they released about a month ago titled Scars and you can stream the entire EP below. We’ve also embdedded the music video for the main track for your viewing pleasures.

The Dø - Gonna Be Sick!

Watch the new video for the Franco-Finnish duo The Dø's “Gonna Be Sick!,” which is obviously taken from last year's Both Ways Open Jaws. It’s directed by Nez of Colonel Blimp. This visually gorgeous piece, which includes a heartbroken heroine falling foul of a silk tornado, takes its cues from Fellini’s Casanova, Shakespeare’s Tempest and also homages the silent era. The EP includes a remix by Mylo, which can be streamed below, and is available through Village Green.
