The Cast of Cheers are a four-piece band from Dublin that we first heard about through Kitsuné’s compilation Kitsuné Maison 12: The Good Fun Issue (their track “Goose” was included on it). We try not to be baited into making easy comparisons, but they reminded us a lot of Two Door Cinéma Club, who not only Irish as well, but have also been featured on previous Kitsuné compilations. Maybe it’s because they both make indie rock with great remixability? In any case, they have been busy getting their second album ready (their first being 2010’s Chariot, which was only released locally). It’ll be called Family and is scheduled for release on the June 15th via Co-Operative Music. You can listen to the first track off it below.
