Louisa Rose Allen, better known as Foxes, is a 22 year old chick from Southhampton. After moving to London to study music and finding out that the studying part wasn’t for her, she decided to get her hands dirty and put out her first EP Youth via Neon Gold Records. With the single “Youth” and B-side “Home,” it wasn’t long before the resplendent synths, industrial percussions and soaring vocals gained over a million combined Soundcloud and YouTube plays; she quickly became the new It Girl. The expected follow-up EP, Warrior, will be released on June 25th, but you can already watch the video for “White Coats,” directed by Flora Hanitijo, below.
Make sure you also listen to “Youth” and “Home.”

Juvelen is a one man band from Stockholm, consisting of Jonas Pettersson. Pettersson was previously a member of the indie pop band Pine Forest Crunch as well as synth pop band Kamera. He’s gone solo now and may we interject and tell you that he’s awesome? With his gentle yet seductive Prince-like voice and soul dance beats, Juvelen has been making everyone dance, gaining major airplay in huge summer festivals around Sweden, partially thanks to his latest song “For Only U” (which is available via Hybris). If you like kittens (who doesn’t?), you should watch the Michael Szymczak-directed video! Warning: maximum kitten happiness and cuteness.

It’d be such a sin for us not to mention our new hipster guilty pleasure. We are of course talking about flavour of the moment Kitty Pryde! The 15 year old rapping princess gained some Tumblr fame rapping about Justin Bieber, being a pimp, being a stalker and snorting pills. And who would’ve thought that all of those things combined would just work? Her video for “Okay Cupid” (by the way, she’s giving the track away for free here) was unleashed last week and we wouldn’t mind (and actually secretly hoping) hearing some more of her swag rap in the near future. Bryan McKay and Shannen Ortale directed the clip.

The wait is finally over! “Kings & Queens” is the latest single to come out from Stockholm synthpop quintet Urban Cone. The single comes from their fantastic new EP Our Youth pt. 2, which is is out on Universal Sweden, and it doesn’t disappoint. The track features handclaps and sharp synthesizer sounds against Rasmus Flyckt and Emil Gustafsson’s soft, wispy and catchy vocals. Watch the video, directed by Niclas Larsson and Olof Lindh below.

MØ is the new face in the Copenhagen electronica scene. And aren’t we glad she has just entered our musical universe? Visual artist and now singer Karen Marie Ørsted has finally released her first solo single “Maiden” which was co-written and produced by Ronni Vandalh, her former bandmate in Ivory & Gold. The catchy guitar hooks and the hip hop drum beats influence will definitely make you pull some moves. Some head-shaking moves maybe? Anne Sofie Skaaring directed the video and you can watch it below.
