Designer Drugs have just debuted the video for their latest single “For All We Know.” It’s taken from the EP of the same name (available via Ultra Music), which includes remixes of the track by PLS DNT STP and Monolith. It’s all embedded below; Hot Shit’s your one-stop for everything music.
Watch the new video from Simian Mobile Disco. It’s for the track “Put Your Hands Together” and it was animated by Hans Lo. Their new album Unpatterns comes out on the 14th of May via Wichita Recordings. Catch them when they’ll be playing in Montréal at La Mouche on the 25th of May.
Here is the first ever Niki and the Dove mixtape (which we previewed with the “Hot Summer” video previously) featuring versions of the singles found on their forthcoming debut album Instinct and also new tracks, never heard before. And yes, we’re thinking exactly what you’re thinking: Instinct isn’t out yet?
We’ve recently been introduced to Not Squares, a three piece synth wave band based in Belfast. They’ve apparently released a full-length back in 2010 called Yeah OK, which to be honest, we haven’t heard… but their new single “Fall Far” has us excited for more new material. London-based indietronic quintet Citizens! have given us a taste of their forthcoming EP Caroline, posting the title track on their Soundcloud. The EP will also include the smash hits “Reptile” and “True Romance” along with some alternate versions of the tracks (acoustic + remixes). The EP will be available on the 29th of May via Kitsuné/Co-Operative Music.
So, CROSSOVER (remember them from the electroclash days?) are still coming out with music these days. They teased us last month with “Wraith In the Woodz” and they’ve now just unleashed a second video from their forthcoming album Gloom which comes out in May via Desire Records. Watch it below.
Human Woman is the Icelandic electronic-dance outfit that consist of Gísli Galdur (of prolific Icelandic band Trabant), and producer Jón Atli Helgason. They’ve just released their second EP, titled Love Games, and it includes remixes by fellow Icelanders Captain Fu and Bix (we’ve embbeded them below the video). It’s released via HFN Music and you should expect their highly anticipated self-titled debut album by the end of May.
Beca (that’s Becca Schack, who had previously done some vocals on soho808’s “Get Up Disco” for you music nerds out there) is a New Yorker was recently signed on the This is Music label. She’s just dropped two stunning videos from her debut EP Let’s Run Wild, which you can stream in its entirety below the embedded videos. Both clips are directed by the duo of Dawid Krępski & Jason Chiu.
We don’t know much about Phantom, aside from the fact that they are a newly formed electronic duo from Helsinki. They’ve an EP which they released about a month ago titled Scars and you can stream the entire EP below. We’ve also embdedded the music video for the main track for your viewing pleasures.
Mr. Oizo (real name Quentin Dupiex) has a new EP out, and he’s giving it away for free on his website. Yes, you can grab all 7 tracks from Stade 3 for absolutely nothing! Want to get in the mood for it? Let the infamous Flat Eric (yes, the Flat Eric from the track that got all of us into Mr. Oizo in the first place: “Flat Beat”) take care of that in the hilarious teaser for the EP.
In our eyes, the directing duo of Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, known to most as DANIELS, can do no wrong (if you aren’t familiar with their work, go here). Watch their latest offering: a fantastic video for Foster the People’s “Houdini.”
New York based Amanda Warner has made us want to get up and dance all night ever since she’s released her newest single “#1 in Heaven,” via Ultra Music. From that moment, we’ve kept a close eye on her, and apparently we haven’t been the only ones; she’s been featured on Pitchfork and buzzing around the blogosphere. It is now our time to share this incredible track and make you regret that you don’t have your dancing shoes on.

Mommy, what’s a dark horse? Dark Horses is incredibly unique band that has emerged from the depths of a cold yet amazing land; yes, you’ve guessed it… another band from Sweden. Additonally, they’ve got this little mysterious aura around them; as far as anyone’s concerned, nobody knows if they have any forthcoming new material coming any time soon. What we do know is that when they do decide to release anything, it’ll be fucking amazing. We’re talking about a band that’s toured with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Black Mountain and Kasabian after all, so obviously, they’ve left us hungry for more pulsating electronic psychedelia beats. We’ve loved the track “Alone” for far too long not to share it with y’all. Watch it below. What’s a dark horse? Well now you know!

We love us some daily dose of Scandinavian music so let us introduce you to a new 5-piece rising band from Stockholm, Sweden: Urban Cone! They’ve caught our attention before with the single “Urban Photographs” after gaining a lot of air play in indie/eletronica Swedish stations, leading the band to sign with Universal Music Sweden in 2011, and releasing an EP called Our Youth, Pt.1 which most definitely deserves a listen. But they’ve now made a huge impression on us with their most acclaimed single yet “Freak.” Watch the video for the single below.
They’ve now also released a new track called “We should go to France” on their Soundcloud page. A new track from an upcoming full length album maybe? We sure hope so!

Swedish electro-goth artist Karin Park has announced the release of her highly anticipated album Highwire Poetry on the 28th May via State of the Eye. While we wait, she’s given us a glimpse of what’s to come in a track titled “Restless.” Fans of The Knife/Fever Ray rejoice; it’s no coincidence! Barry Barnett and Christoffer Berg, who had previously worked with those two bands, also produced this forthcoming effort. We, for one, welcome our new princess of darkness (overlord).
Edit: apparently, she’s already release two other tracks from the album online (one of them even has a video) before “Restless” emerged. Our mistake. We’ve embedded them below in case they flew under your radar as well.
We literally just posted the new video for Portugal. The Man’s “All Your Light (Times Like These)” a couple of hours ago, and now we have another treat for you. It’s the Woodkid remix of “So American.” En passant, you can catch them at Osheaga on August 3rd later this Summer.
Indie-electro band Infadels has just released a video for their first single, “Future of the Gravity Boy,” from their new album. It’s made of footage taken from the 2001 film Electric Dragon 80.000V. The track is taken from their third album Future of the Gravity Boy available now via Sony/ATV Music Publishing.
L.A.’s Electric Guest commissioned the brilliant Keith Schofield (he’s the one who directed Duck Sauce’s “The Big Bad Wolf” entre autres) to reshoot a second version (Aaron Hymes shot the first one) for their single “This Head I Hold.” Their debut album Mondo has been available since yesterday via Downtown Records.
